Course-Decorative Arts-Cataloguing-Preventative Conservation

The Association of the Friends of the National Museum of Decorative Arts (La Asociación de Amigos del Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas) and the Department of Art History of the Complutense University of Madrid have organized a four-session course on Cataloguing and Preventative Conservation of Decorative Arts. From March 10 to 12, it will be in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Geography and History and March 13 in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Madrid.

The course provides candidates studying for exams for employment in museums, students of art history and fine arts, and members of the public interested in the decorative arts and design with basic guidelines to get started in cataloging and preventive conservation of these types of works. Renowned specialists in various decorative arts fields will teach about both the theoretical and practical aspects. The registration deadline is March 6 or until full capacity.
