Tucana Bistro by Tatto Contract Transports Diners to an Earthly Gastronomic Paradise
Designed by Tattoo Contract, Tucana Madrid is an innovative bistro concept in Madrid whose art-deco style interior design is fused with Pan-American motifs, replete with geometric patterns and color. The menu, a reinterpretation of originals from countries along the Pan-American route as diverse as Mexico, the United States, and Brazil, transports diners to an earthly gastronomic paradise.
The studio created custom furniture and decor for the dining areas, uniting them with a cohesive visual identity. The contrast between the dark hues on the walls and the luminosity of the metal on furniture and fixtures create distinct but moody ambiances.
The result is a collaboration with several companies, including Indama Engineering, Ape Grupo for the ceramic flooring, and Absotec, who oversaw the acoustics for the zones. Tattoo Contract and its partners have managed to impart a unique character to Tucana that is both sophisticated and edgy.
A large sliding glass door with gold matte finish trim, a specially lit arch, and illuminated shelves in a matt black finish display the chiaroscuro technique of using light and dark to create dramatic atmospheres. The armchairs add a jolt of intense colour.
Lighting is a primary element of the design concept. The imposing lamp of spheres is by Atelier Mel.
The bar counter in natural stone, the metallic finials in the refrigerated area, the neon signs, and the vertical sheets of brass by Dimalnox have a high impact.
An exquisite combination of golden skulls on a black background welcomes visitors at the entrance.
